FIISTWOOD LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the TeslaMate cloud hosting service available at https://www.teslamate.cloud (the “Service”). We take your privacy extremely seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

a) Data you provide directly

  • Email address (used for account login and communication)
  • Billing information processed securely by Stripe (we never see or store your full credit card details)
  • Optional: your name (if you provide it)

b) Data automatically collected from your Tesla vehicle via Tesla’s unofficial API

  • Vehicle identification number (VIN)
  • Driving, charging, and location history
  • Battery status, odometer, software version, and other telemetry data that TeslaMate normally logs You fully control which vehicles are connected and can revoke access at any time.

c) Technical and usage data

  • IP address, browser type, device information
  • Logs of API calls and Service usage (for security and performance monitoring)

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and maintain your personal TeslaMate instance
  • To send service-related emails (invoices, important updates, password resets)
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or vehicle data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on encrypted servers in the European Union (Hetzner Germany).
  • Backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days.
  • We use industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.

4. Sharing of Data

We only share personal data in these limited cases:

  • With Stripe for payment processing (they operate under their own privacy policy)
  • With subcontractors bound by strict confidentiality who help us run the Service (e.g. cloud hosting provider)
  • When required by law or to protect our legal rights

5. Data Retention

  • As long as your subscription is active, we keep your TeslaMate instance and all vehicle data.
  • After cancellation or non-renewal, we keep the data for 30 days so you can request an export. After 30 days, the instance and all data are permanently deleted.
  • Billing records are kept for 7 years to comply with tax laws.

6. Your Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar laws)

You have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Export all your TeslaMate data at any time (via the built-in export function or by request)
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent (revoke Tesla API access) at any time

7. International Transfers

If you are located outside the EU, your data will be transferred to and processed in the European Union. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of protection.

8. Children

Our Service is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or a notice on the Website at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
